For Balmain Beauty and the launch of the Les Éternels fragrance collection, we developed an unprecedented immersive system: the Sense Portal.
This custom-engineered display combines synchronized scent diffusion, directional audio, and video playback into a single, responsive interface. When a fragrance bottle is lifted, the system instantly triggers a precisely calibrated micro air-spray of the scent, while simultaneously activating its dedicated visual campaign and musical composition.
What makes the Sense Portal truly unique is its ability to operate multiple fragrances and soundscapes at the same time. For the first time, up to three distinct musical compositions and fragrance diffusions can coexist within the same space without interference. To achieve this, all musical compositions were re-recorded specifically for the Sense Portal and harmonized in the same musical key, allowing overlapping sound environments to remain coherent, balanced, and immersive rather than chaotic.
The result is a controlled multi-sensory experience that allows visitors to engage with several fragrances simultaneously—each retaining its identity while contributing to a unified, technologically orchestrated sensory landscape.
