AISLING CAMPS
Aisling Camps is a force—she’s a Brooklyn-based knitwear designer who started out as a sustainability-focused mechanical engineer, graduating from Columbia University, then studying fashion at FIT where she developed her skills in knitwear.
The Trinidadian native started her own namesake brand after graduating from FIT. With yarns from Italy, she builds her garments literally from the thread up, obsessing over tension, gauge, and how a piece holds its shape on the body. Her distinctive pieces are super structural and precise, and at the same time, effortless, tactile, and incredibly sensual. Whether she’s hand-knitting pieces along with her team in Brooklyn, or working with a multigenerational family-run factory in Italy, everything she makes feels like wearable art with a real soul behind it. 🤍
2026 has been a significant year for Aisling and her brand - her first showing at NYFW in February 2026, followed by her first runway show for SS2027 in September, and being a 2026 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist.
